Mountain Biking Hobbs State Park Conservation Area
#12 of 206 mountain bike trails in Arkansas
This multi-use back country trail contains four loops and several spur trails that would exceed 23 miles if you hiked, biked, or rode a horse over its entire length. The trail was designed for family day use. It mostly follows fairly level ridge tops and rims, with only a half dozen hills to climb throughout the entire trail. Interpretive exhibit panels are placed along the trail to enhance your experience.

I had such a great time here, I came back to ride Hobbs twice while on my vacation. I found the trail to be fairly smooth and flowy. There was some ups and downs and overall a fun ride. I look forward to hitting it again someday.
Thank |Twenty miles that throws you at the 2,000' feet of climbing with enough momentum to keep you smiling the entire trail. Shorter loops available, including a couple of one way mile long DH sections. The upper section of the Karst loop has some semi technical ledges along the lake's edge that are worth the extra miles.
Thank |another epic with new trails was awesome, decent hill climbs, great views and lots of flow
Thank |A really fun ride. If do Little Clifty and War Eagle Loop is about 11 miles. Has fun switchbacks and great loopy descents and runs. To do the switchback you need to go clockwise. If you just like bombing a long descent, then go counterclockwise.
Thank |Rode Little Clifty Creek Loop and Bayshore, both CW. Little Clifty mostly gradual up/down (870 ft climbing on the loop). Only serious climb is back to the Piney TH. Good flow to both, very nice downhills. Sections of the trail have quite a bit of gravel, so be careful on the turns.
Thank |Wife and I are from CO, so nice to get away from the big climbs out there.
Highly recommended.
Rode all but War Eagle today. Nothing very technical until you kick up the speed on some of the descents down to the creek beds. Dare you not to grin. Beautiful flowing trails and the Dogwoods are blooming like crazy.
Thank |Had a blast on this trail today! We rode Little Clifty and Bashore Ridge loops. Little Clifty was more difficult, only because of the climbing involved. Neither is technical. They both flow great and are mostly hard packed Singletrack. Fun! Fun! Fun! Look forward to riding these again on future trips to NWA!
Thank |I like incorporating the War Eagle Loop into my ride when i go to Hobbs. Has the steepest grade of the loops, Some fun tiny stream crossings (usually dry), good overlook of War Eagle creek. Not very technical besides a couple tight switchback. Trail surface, like the rest of hobbs, is dirt with plenty of loss small rocks. Higher dirt to rock ratio down near the stream. 3.5/5 for Arkansas, 2/5 for USA.
Thank |Very fun cross country trail. It is laid out very well in the steep terrain. Excellent signage lets you know what to do at intersections and points out interesting features. A fast ride with numerous swoops and turns. Highly recommended!
Thank |Very fun trail that drops into Dutton Hollow and climbs back out. The climbing is tough but the trail is laid out in a sustainable fashion. Excellent signage lets you know what to do at intersections and points out interesting features. A fast ride with twists and turns.
Thank |Very fun trail that traverses both sides of Bashore Ridge. It is considered by the park to be the easiest trail in the system but still has climbs that will get your heart rate up. Excellent signage lets you know what to do at intersections and points out interesting features. A fast ride with some scenic views of Beaver Lake.
Thank |Smooth trail and marked well. Climb back out had me huffing and puffing as it is a pretty constant climb with little rest. Did the loop in a leisurely hour. Can't wait to explore more of this system!
Thank |This loop is part of the the Hidden Diversity trail located in Hobbs State Park. This loop will take you down into the hollow and then back up again. There is nothing really technical on this loop and the climb back up is not that bad of a climb most folks should enjoy this loop. For more information go to www.mtbark.com
Thank |This is a loop of 3 that makes up the Hidden Diversity trail in Hobbs State Park. This loop has good flow to it as does all of Hidden Diversity. There is a gentle climb on this trail but nothing really hard. No real technical challenges, fun trail all the same. For more information on this trail go to www.mtbark.com
Thank |it's a great place for me to take my son and my friends that aren't comfortable. i recommend it for family outings. plus the caves are pretty neat.
Thank |I've ridden this trail more than any other and it is a fine beginners trail but I wouldn't put it in the top 100. There's several trails that are better then this one within a 45 minute drive. Lake Leatherwood, Devils Den and Slaughter Pen are just a few. I haven't even ridden the Syllamo loops yet but I've heard great things about them as well.
Thank |This trail is a great clean trail with lots of down hill track. But you must keep in mind what goes down must come back up lol. If you are around Rogers this is a fun fast track as are all 4 of the loops at Hobs.

Thank |This trail is really smooth and really fast, with a lot of short interval climbs and decents. If you like getting a lot of speed with minimal effort, on a great all-singletrack trail, Hobbs State Park is the spot in NWA! This is for sure one of my favorite rides in the area, and the trail is pretty new, in great condition and there is not a lot of traffic there... so have a blast!!
Thank |The name of trail, based on signs on the trail, is "Little Clifty Creek Loop", see trail photo. I originally called the trail "Townsend Ridge Road Trail" because that's how I refer to it, not because it is the "official" name. "Hidden Diversity" is the name of a geocache, but some people refer to the trail as "Hidden Diversity Multi-Use Trail".* Review edited 1/15/2007
