Mountain Biking Hunters Creek Park
#78 of 301 mountain bike trails in New York
I've been riding at Hunters Creek for about 7 years and all I can say is wow. All of the single track weaves in and out of itself and there are many challenging technical sections. It is good for cross-country riding, but in the spring it is pretty muddy. Overall a fun, challenging and fast ride.

The Parking Lot is off of Centerline Road in Wales, NY. Centerline Road is off of route 16. There is a trail map in the back left portion of the parking lot.
Was here for first time last year. This time I did the East trail all the way up to the other parking lot. Wow, what a difference from the west trails. Very rooty and technical. Also very well marked. There are no trails cross crossing like in the other side. No way to get lost.
Parts of the trail take along the very edge of the creek ridge which is probably at least 100 ft or more straight up from the creek bed.
This set of trails is best for seasoned riders of intermediate or advanced levels. Can't wait to come back again.
Thank |i'm from Toronto, Ontario, and went riding here for the first time while my wife shopped at Walden "Galleria (less than 1/2 hr away).
Nice set of trails, but not the best marked.
If you go riding here, study the tail map, since it is easy to get lost.
The scenery is beautiful, and the trails are not overly technical.
Easy to spend a better part of a day in here.
I will be back!
Thank |Miles and miles of networked trail near Buffalo, just really deserves more activity. http://www.wnymba.org/static/maps/hunters.pdf
