Mountain Biking Hurricane Rim trail

*****   Add a review
#107 of 711 mountain bike trails in Utah
#2,927 in the world

This is fun but rocky trail along the rim above the Virgin river. There are some sections of slab rock that are awkward, and there are several areas of exposure of several hundred feet above the Virgin River - don't look down! Views are spectacular, of course.
The Hurricane Rim can be ridden out and back, or as part of the Hurricane Loop trail.

Getting there
The Hurricane Rim trailhead is just outside hurricane on Highway 59, and also shares a trailhead with JEM near Virgin - turn right off of State Road 9 onto Sheep Bridge Road just before you enter Virgin.

Wonderful views, but step off the bike to enjoy them as there are plenty of sudden rock ledges to navigate, and plenty of exposure in some sections. Some decent climbs. Fun in either direction. Pair it up with Gould and JEM for a fun loop of 20 miles that drops you right back onto the road above town.

Spectacular scenery of the Virgin river - including some large exposures.
    Occasional difficult rocky sections.
    Decent elevation gain.
