Getting there
From Burns, travel north on US Highway 395 approximately 17 miles. The trailhead is located in Idlewild Campground. Park in day use area near picnic shelter. Trail follows campground boundary fence and rock wall. Several signs direct visitors to trail access.From John Day, travel south on US Highway 395 approximately 53 miles, turn left into Idlewild Campground.
