Mountain Biking Impala Ranch MTB Trails

*****   Add a review
#13 of 79 mountain bike trails in South Africa
#6,122 in the world

It's not a race.... It's an adventure.....
The trails suit intermediate to advanced riders as some sections are quite technical and there is a lot of pedalling but not too much climbing as the focus has been to have long flowing single track descents.

All trails are marked according to IMBA standards with Blue and Red runs.

With large herds of roaming Impala, Springbok, Red Haartebees, Bontebok, Zebra, Kudu, Nguni cattle, Sheep and even a few Ostrich... makes a ride around Impala Ranch different every time.

The trails are designed to show you some of the best features of the farm and the terrain and views change every 500 metres.
You'll be taking pictures and marvelling at the scenery...that's for sure!

Plans are underway to triple the trail loop size, develop a few challenging 'Black' runs and many more exciting pump track enhancements are scheduled.

From PE take the first turnoff after the Gamtoos River, turn left at the junction then right onto the R102 / old road to JBay. After 11km you turn right at the Kabeljous/Smith Town sign & head up that tar then well graded dirt road for 7.1 km ... the main gate will be on your left near a row of pine trees and a gate in the game fence.
From the N2 main JBay turn off, head towards JBay and at the Fountains traffic circle take the first left towards Kabeljous and after 4.5km you turn left at the Kabeljous/Smith Town sign & head up that tar then well graded dirt road for 7.1 km ... the main gate will be on your left near a row of pine trees and a gate in the game fence.

A great place to get out into nature, be amongst herds of roaming game, have 360' views and then fly down wooded valleys on purpose built single track

A fast 17km blue loop which sweeps you past some of the best places on the farm. An ever-changing ride from hilltops, valleys, streams, simply an awesome ride
