Mountain Biking Jetton Park
#227 of 549 mountain bike trails in North Carolina
Jetton trail is the product of volunteer efforts by the Tarheel Trailblazers and Dirt Divas clubs. Rolling trail through hardwood and pine forest - smooth, wide singletrack with only a couple rooty sections. The trail has been designed for beginners and is focused on being "Adaptive Sports Accessible" where mountain hand trikes can be used by disabled riders. This trail offers many different challenges for a beginner to get introduced to trail riding: Short 1.1mi loop allowing for many laps to practice, moderate switchback descents & climbs, a bermed turn, very subdued rock gardens, a short bridge crossing, etc(See trail photos). Minimal elevation change - total ascent per lap is 65ft. There are additional paved walking/bike paths inside the Jetton Park property across the street to the south of the trailhead.
