Trail #545 starts at the parking lot shortly after crossing onto Forest Service Land. This trail starts off level but then climbs steadily acorss the contours and stays high with great views of the valley to the west. It dips into canyons as you head south. Eventually you come to Spring Creek Canyon where then the trail again climbs up the side of the mountain. Eventually you come to Cottonwood Creek where the trail descends steeply to the trail head on Rocky Mountain Road.
