Mountain Biking June's Bottom
#163 of 710 mountain bike trails in Utah
June's Bottom is an incredibly scenic ride through Utah's San Rafael Desert. Located 30 miles South of Green River, Junes Bottom is well worth the trip over 30 miles of county maintained graded road. This route has recently been closed to all MOTORIZED vehicles. Please stay on the designated route, and respect the historical significance of June's Bottom, this way the BLM will keep the trail open to mountain bikers! I've included all of my GPS waypoints, because as far as I know, this trail as I've posted it here cannot be found on any other websites or in any guidebooks. I had the opportunity to ride this trail with MECCA So now you too can enjoy this ride the same way the "locals" do!!

Take Long Street off of Main Street in Green River (follow the signs for the airport). At 2.45 miles stay left at a "Y" in the road. It is signed for: San Rafael Desert, Horseshoe Canyon. Turn left at 26.9 miles. 38∞ 39.743 N 110∞ 9.902 W Then turn right at 28.0 miles 38∞ 39.024 N 110∞ 09.502 W The trailhead is 1.16 miles further 38∞39.362 N 110∞08.233 W
Awesome Trail overlooking the Green River with the San Rafael Swell or the Desert between it and Moab in the background with the Las Sal mountains in view. Again just like Bull Bottom or Itchy and Scratchy this trail can be tailored to the riders skill level. I do think this trail was harder due to the amount of soft sand you had to cross to get to the slick rock. The earlier in the year of later when the sand had more moisture in it would help this. Also a long ways from anything so bring plenty of water and enjoy the awesome adventure!
