Mountain Biking Kalamunda Mountain Bike Trails

*****   Add a review
#1 of 61 mountain bike trails in Western Australia
#683 in the world

The biggest and busiest trail network in WA has something for everyone. There is heaps of technical and flow blue trail, a growing green (beginner) network and several black diamond trails.
Ride the original Kalamunda Circuit from the Camel Farm, shuttle the Dirt Art built contempory Mt Gunjin or try out the Black Diamond freeride Luvin Shovels; and that still leaves the wooden berms of Scorpion. Over 44km of signposted singletrack in total.

The trails have been constructed and are maintained by volunteers from the Kalamunda Mountain Bike Collective. Check out their website for the latest news and to download a free trail map.

Getting there
There are 4 car parks in the trail network:
Calamunda Camel Farm
A safe place to leave your car and the largest car park in the are. The mountain bike friendly cafe also does camel rides. The food here is great and the scones and camel toe biscuits are highly recommended. They also carry a few bike spares should you forget/break anything.
Farrell Grove
Large DPaW managed car park off of Mundaring Weir Rd. There are lots of picnic tables and some toilets here. Great place to park if you want to ride the trails around Scorpion or Gunjin, especially if the Dell is full.
Black Stump car park
A good place to park at the western end of the trails network, next to the excellent pump track. There is a trailhead map and noticeboard. Cross Mundaring Weir Rd to the north side and pick up the trail from here. After 50m you will have a choice of the longer, harder Blue rated "Slippery When Dry" trail or the easier Green rated trail.
The Dell
One of the busiest and smaller car parks. It has great trail access, toilets and several picnic areas in beautiful bush surroundings.

A challenging cross country (and navigation) adventure.

There is always another climb around the corner!

Takes in some quieter and more remote tracks, so it is important to be prepared and self-sufficient.

Great variety of trails within the network, with well-graded options for most riders (except perhaps absolute beginners)

Would love not to have the pea gravel, but that is WA...

Many parking options are available, but a gold-coin donation to park at the Calmunda Camel Farm is recommended.
