Mountain Biking Katie Jackson

****   Add a review
#99 of 279 mountain bike trails in Texas
#3,771 in the world

Nice little singletrack squeezed in some park land between a creek and apartments.

Awesome dirtjumps and pump track in the middle, but local built, so no-dig, no-ride.

Really great, awesome jumps and some really cool features to session along the trails.

The trails themselves weren't bad. The parking was minimal at the trail head and over full the day we went. Lots of trash unfortunately. Not at all the fault of the trail stewards but unfortunately I think a victim of location. I probably lead a charmed life but this was the only DORBA trail I've been to where someone left a hot steaming dog log in the middle of the trail. I think this may have had a lot to do with location as well. Of the DORBA trails this has been my families least favorite.

Katie Jackson is not a destination trail. It's pretty flat and featureless. However, if you work or live nearby (as I do) it's a good option to get some quick dirt. Arbor Hills is close by, and I actually prefer Katie Jackson. It has more flow than AH, and has a few small jumps and bridges that keep it interesting.
