Mountain Biking Kiwanis

#9 of 44 mountain bike trails in South Dakota
#2,782 in the world

At this point the trail is multi-directional. Trail is well worn and easy to follow. There is a mixture of tight technical stretches and fast and flowing stretches. Easy to Intermediate trail.

Great stretch of single track that ties into a system that goes most of the way around Lake Mitchell. If you ride the upper and lower trails you can a 20 mile ride, this does include some road to connect trails. It is a great stop off of I-90, pull in and enjoy. The easiest trial head to find is just before the Prehistoric Indian Village at Kiwanis Park.

My family and I decided to venture off of the interstate, on way to the Black Hills, to stretch out legs and give this trail a ride. We had a great time. My wife and two sons (ages 8 and 6) never felt overwhelmed. It is on the easy side but I found it to be fun, fast and it had a good flow to it. If you love technical trails and crazy difficulties this will not be your favorite place but if you enjoy getting out for a quick enjoyable ride, with or without the little ones, it is a lot of fun. They have taken the time to build it and maintain it so enjoy if you choose to stop. It is just a little norh of the Corn Palace and worth the little extra time it takes to get off of I90! Check out the Pump Track too!!

As being intermediate biker, I find this truly a very nice place for beginner and I enjoyed it a lot. I would recommend to anyone from beginner to intermediate who just want to take a joy of riding. Thumb up to organization who create this place.

This is a great single track in Mitchell. There are a few more difficult stretches that are tight but for the most part anyone should be able to handle the trail.
