Mountain Biking Knobby Ridge
#130 of 388 mountain bike trails in Wisconsin
These trails are primarily used by motos/dirtbikes, but are completely legal
to ride with a mountain bike. But as such, they are maintained by the
dirtbikers, and these trails have degraded into an extremely rutted,
gnarled, and sandy suffer fest for a mountainbiker. I bit the whole system
off in one crack, and I was hurting by the end of it! Word is that back in the
day these trails used to be excellent quality singletrack: but no more.
There are still some sweet sections, and if you live in the area it may be
worth your time to check Knobby Ridge out... if you have enough grit to
take a beating and come back for more.
