A sunlit forest path winding through a dense area of trees, with lush green foliage. In the foreground, a bent tree trunk creates an arch, surrounded by fallen leaves and underbrush. The setting conveys a serene, natural environment. Ladyslipper mountain bike trail.

#154 of 403 mountain bike trails in Georgia
#4,083 in the world

Starting from the parking area/area with the sign for the trail, The trail
starts off with a tough climb (which is a sweet descent at the end).
Continue straight on the old road bed, and hang a right onto the trail
(following the trail signs). The trail is descently marked, and at one point
you need to hang a right on FS 92A, and then a left back onto the trail.
Follow it all the way around and you will end up back on the old road grade,
and descending that gnarly climb you started. Some of the sections of this
trail are freaking sweet descents (with lots of opportunities for hangtime),
and others are crazy steep climbs. Pick up Jim Parham's "off the beaten
track" for reference if you would like, but I would recommend finding a FS
map somewhere.
