The North Shore is pretty deserted no shade in either section, TONS of birds and aligators. The West end is nicer, has a loop and a cool narrow bridge and a coupe observation towers. Mostly hard packed maintenance roads, some grassy trails also, very flat welands.

Nice flat riding conditions Limestone roads and grass roads.
Thank |Great for a family!
Thank |Rode the trail in the evening July 17th. The majority of the trail is hard packed and even what appears to be an old runway if you enter and take the 'block' route to the right. In the Clay Island Trail loop there are some areas that are very soggy trekking and thick grass. It is quite a leg workout. We only made it to the bridge on the main run and darkness was setting in so we will run that route in the next few days. A very enjoyable ride, not technical, with plenty of wildlife. I would think it could be extremely hot and exposed during the summer months.
Thank |It's not technical at all but I had a blast on it. I rode over 30 miles and seen 7 bobcats, countless gators over 10 feet, and plenty of other wildlife. Nice ride to enjoy. I will definitely ride it again.
Thank |Lots of gators, birds minimal shade, all hard packed roads.
