East side of parking is a flume ride along the edge till it ends. drop into a little bit of single track on to a dirt road. At .9 mile stay straight then take next right climb dirt road to next wye drop down to dam and back to parking. This would be a good place to take you Mom for her first ride. It is very tame. might be fun at night with lights:{)

This was my first experience to mountain biking and I loved it. Mostly just some gravel road but there are some more exciting pieces if you look for them. Great for beginners

This is a very easy trail to ride. It is flat the entire way really. There is one spot where it's a kinda technical. But that's really it if you like tech stuff, i personally do. If you want fun downhill rides, go more up in the hills surrounding the lake. There is a few goat trails that can be fun, but sometimes not rideable.

Nice trail for beginners or kids. My 10-year-old was just able to make it up the one grade. Half of the loop runs along the well-shaded bank of the Amador Canal.

Note that the wye mentioned in the directions to the trailhead is the junction of Clinton and Tabeaud Roads; the lake is just off of Tabaeaud Road (which was not on the AAA map).
