Mountain Biking Lam Watah Interpretive Trail
#45 of 119 mountain bike trails in Nevada
This is a senic beginner trail. Only two small technical areas. Most of the trail is hardpack dirt that wanders through a pine forest. Adjacent to the the trail is a campground and a beach for a great view of Lake Tahoe and surrounding mountains. This is a decent trail if you are visiting tahoe and did not bring any gear and are renting a bike (like me). The scenery and some very fast riding can keep you busy for a while.

From the California/Nevada State Line on Highway 50 in South Lake Tahoe: Go about a half a mile from the state border on 50 into Nevada and turn towards the lake onto Kahale Drive. There is a parking lot on your immediate right where the trail head is located.
Nice easy trail if you are looking to enjoy the great scenery of Lake Tahoe.
