I have to agree with most descriptions and ride suggestions I have found on this trail. Ride it counter clockwise and I think you'll agree with most the locals, it's much more fun this way. When you get to the trailhead there is a little bridge on the right ( in the counter clockwise direction ) and a trail to the left. Take the right across the bridge and just follow the well mark ( blue diamond ) trail and you will come back out at the trail sign. We did meet a local riding it in the opposite direction who actually ( first person to mention ) liked riding it in the opposite direction. If you like climbing, I would agree, or if you wanted to get more climbing for the 9 miles. However, my son and I liked it so much, we just did a second lap which was faster than our first, since we knew the trail a little better, and got 18 miles of awesome singletrack. What a blast. This is a must do if you are in the area. Don't forget to go down Rt.92 and ride Two Lick Trail just short distance away. Some say you can add a few road miles and ride them both without moving the vehicle. I'll let you make that decision.
