Mountain Biking Leesburg Downhill

  Add a review
#229 of 319 mountain bike trails in Idaho
#21,735 in the world

This is a 4500' downhill drop of a shuttle ride.

From the Napias Trailhead, turnaround and cross the road looking for an ATV trail that heads into the woods. Follow this trail along the ridge and some steep rocky sidehilling for about 2.5 miles where there will be a hard right and you hit the Leesburg Road. Follow this road all the way to Salmon, turning downhill at every intersection.

Getting there
This is a shuttle downhill. To access the start of the shuttle, head north out of Salmon to the Fairgrounds and the Stormy Peak Road. Follow this road and the signs for Wallace Lake. Skip the turn to Wallace Lake and stay on the main road for another 1.8 miles. You will come to a sign marking the Napias Creek Trailhead. Hopefully you have a driver to drop you off so you don't have to worry about driving all the way back up again for your rig.

For the hardcore, ride up the Leesburg Road (for over 4500' of climbing) from Salmon to the Ridge Road, then North to the Napias sign.
