Mountain Biking Lowell Preserve Multi-use Trail System
#43 of 121 mountain bike trails in Maine
The "Lowell Preserve" is a 7 mile multi-use trail system on a 325 acre parcel managed by the town of Windham. Located at 47 Babbidge (Falmouth) Road is the East Windham Fire Barn. Park here, as the trail starts at the left front corner of the building.
A mixture of ATV trails, flowy single-track with enough climbing, rocky sections, and stream crossings will keep your interest. The map shows many ATV trails, yet a number of tight twisty trails exist to explore. Pay attention to marked intersections on the Loop Trail, as it is surrounded by large parcels of private property and quite easy to get disoriented.

Park at town of Windham East fire Station on Falmouth road. Look towards fire station garage doors and you
will see signs for trail. Plenty of maps at this sign. once on trail stay on yellow colored trail or yellow combo
colored trails to make full loop. This trail gets a little confusing the first few times so bring the map with you!
flying w, you are wrong in the fact that you corrected me where libby hill is.. in the Lowell preserve there is a trail called the libby hill loop.. it has nothing to do with the actual libby hill that is in gray. if you had looked at trail map in lowell preserve you would have understood what i was saying. also babbidge road is the same thing as falmouth rd. but the actual address 47 falmouth rd. * Review edited 10/13/2010* Review edited 10/13/2010
Thank |Libby Hill is in Gray, ME is well marked and has some new more challenging singletrack to add to the existing multi use trail system. (*3)
Thank |Lowell Preserve is in Windham on Babbidge Rd. Park at the East Windham Fire Barn trail starts on the left corner of the building. This has 6 + miles of singletrack plus ATV trails that can be confusing, and has more climbing and technical features. (*4)
