Beginner to Intermediate terrain not far from Collingwood and Thornbury. There is a main double track that you follow in and up the hill. shortly after it crosses through the loop. From here you can go left or right along it, or continue straight. The left takes you out by the chairlift and the deck on top of the Georgian Peaks ski club (great view!), as do the right and straight options. continue along to the other half of the loop to make a short and easy but fun ride. GREAT FOR THE KIDS OR BEGINNERS.
Additional routes:
The Bruce Trail runs throughout the area. On the right hand side loop the trail joins the loop just as it makes a turn right. Not 30 feet before that there is a bruce side trail loop that is more technical and meets up with the main bruce. If you take this stay left and you will come back to the loop.
If you continue on to the left hand loop, there will be another bruce trail turn off on your right. Do not take this unless you know where you are going. Also, don't get caught, there are clear no biking signs on the trail.
DOWNHILL TRAIL
On the left loop (chairlift side), there is a small downhill singletrack trail that runs down to the top of camperdown road. It is such a blast! It's very secretive so somewhat unkempt, but find it better like that, Best to ride early October about an hour before sunset :). From the road ride in up the hill and take the left loop. Once you go through the open farmers field it'll be directly on your left, as soon as you go down the little root section. follow this but take a right about half way down the hill. From here, just rip! Don't turn left a little ways down, it's a dead end. Before long you'll come to somebody's yard. Ride down through it, down their drive way and you will come to camperdown road by the golf club. From here, you can ride back to Thornbury if you take the road until you reach hwy 26 and then turn left onto the Gerogian Trail. It is about 6km back. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SECTION, BUT NOT FOR BEGINNERS!
