A wonderfull and easy ride arround lost creek lake, 90% is gravel singletrack, between state park and harbour is a short stretch of paved singletrack. When we where there the gate to ride over the damm was open, if it's closed you have to detour at the base of the dam.

Started the ride from the Joseph H Stewart camp grounds.. rode along the "no bikes" pavement til it turned to a dirt trail.
Trail is wide enough for new riders to feel comfortable and get a taste for dirt. There are a number of trees down so only rode about 3 miles from camp in a clockwise route

Review: Well here's my review. I'm not too good at it but I figured I would share my point of view. Right outside Shady Cove Oregon is a beautiful lake called Lost Creek which has a beautiful single track around it for cross-country Riders. And also hiking. I am always up for an adventure and always heard about the Lost Creek singletrack, Which is called the (Rouge Trail) that goes around the lake. I believe there is two options you can go clockwise or counterclockwise I chose to go counter-clockwise and start from the Lost Creek dam. I could tell right from the beginning of this ride it was going to be an adventure. There was a wildfire burning in the distance towards Prospect Oregon which made the lake filled with smoke so I was kind of hesitant on doing the ride because I really didn't want to breathe smoke for 20 miles. However it was about 3pm and the inversion layer was starting to lift and I could see the blue skies. I could see the Wildfire starting to pick up in the distance. So on the journey I went. Beautiful single track for the first 7miles with some cool Bridges and a couple nice climbs and then you tie end to St Joseph's Park which is a resort on the lake. There was a fire camp with a bunch of Heroes that were fighting the wildfire in the area, so some of the trails were blocked in rerouted to the next section of the Rogue Trail. I continued for an additional 2 more miles until I hit the Lost Creek Bridge which the trail loops around and comes back towards the damn for 10 miles. As I continued on the Rouge trail I was just going to figure it was kind of simple single track. After a mile around the loop section I started encounter more Rock Gardens and more technical sections for the cross-country climbs loose gravel sharp rocks you name it. There was a few descending areas which was very flow and fun which would Loop you around on some bridges and it would bring you around the lake. I finally made it around the lake 19 miles 2000 ft climbing elevation. Loaded up my Bike and took off.
