Mountain Biking Div Pond
#112 of 113 mountain bike trails in Connecticut
With just under 2 miles of fresh single track, this new loop at Div Pond is the first MTB specific network in town. The glacial soil found in such areas along the CT River drain exceptionally quick, making riding possible soon after rain. Furthermore, the last glacial retreat left Div Pond with a few elevation crevasses scattered, quite rare to find. One such crevasse has the trail flowing through high banked turns (11 in this one section). We have plans to turn another larger crevasse into a fast “sidewinder” type of trail.
