Mountain Biking Maple Hill
#42 of 322 mountain bike trails in Michigan
A new trail to Kalamazoo, the full loop is completed with more features to come in the future. Lots of flow, with a surprising amount of climbing for West Michigan. Mostly machine built banked turns, burms, switchbacks, jumps and tabletops; some hand cut sections. It is well marked.
Most features are roll-able for beginner riders, but reward intermediate and advanced riders at speed. Advanced features have bypasses.
The trail is directional based on the day, please follow signage. The trail is built and maintained by Southwest Michigan Mountain Biking Association (SWMMBA).
A Kalamazoo County Parks pass is required. $5 daily or $25 annually.

Short and sweet. Jumps, banks and rock features. Blue\Black Diamond.
Thank |Super forgiving flowy jump lines. 5$ fee, short trail.
Thank |Great trail with a very accurate description. Well sculpted, smooth a fast with plenty of jumps, big banked corners and rock obstacles. There's some decent hills but bypasses make this rideable at all levels. Worth a drive.
Thank |It's a blast everytime!
Thank |Pretty much the same thing as Big Kame in Chelsea, and pretty much any flow trail anywhere lol. Good tabletops, flowy, some good rocks, and some good berms. Nothing too crazy.
Thank |Amazing, well built flow trail. What it lacks in mileage it makes up for in excitement.
Thank |Great flow!
Thank |Some really great flow and some really great climbs. Well thought-out design. I should come back and try the other direction.
Thank |best flow trail around, hard pack dirt, big jumps, great berms! Thank you Alex, Kit, Monica, Tim and all the others that had a hand in this trail! Can you buy some property next to this and add more miles ;-)
Thank |I am still new to riding, however, out of the few trails I've been to, this is my favorite. Fun jumps and berms, fairly even amount of climbs and descents and you can make it as hard or as easy as you like. They switch directions every other day and I think the other direction would probably have a lot higher jumps and a lot more speed (today is Saturday's direction) so I'm looking forward to trying a different day and setting the difference.
Thank |An absolute gem within riding distance from downtown Kalamazoo. Plenty of climbing in the ~5mile loop. Most trail features are rollable for beginner riders, bypasses are provided for more advanced features. The large tabletops and banked corners are a blast!
Thank |Great new trail. 100 percent complete as of this week. Very fun downhills and my favorite so far. The up hill climbs flowed as good as they can for a climb. Seems very well planned out. Very fun!
Thank |I started on campus and ride to the trail... It has rained the night before, but most of the trail was in great condition. It took me a few to understand the momentum of the trail. I don't jump and it is definitely set up for people who do. I still enjoyed it, it was a great workout and beautiful.
