Mountain Biking Marin Headlands
#140 of 1,004 mountain bike trails in California
This is a great route with great sampling of the Marin Headlands. There is a wide offering and
network of trails. You can really obtain a mix of climbs and decent. Most of the trails are double
track with a few single tracks here and there. It's basically a good mix and has something for
everyone. If you are looking for hard core technical trails this might not be the best option but the
environment is truly amazing.

I like to start from the Golden Gate Bridge and maybe park your car at Battery East Parking lot.
The best way to get to the trail is cross the bridge and head towards the Headlands trail access
points. This GPS route crosses the bridge heads towards Saulsalito but takes a quick left onto
Bunker Road / Tunnel. You will then see a parking lot off Bunker Road on the right. I follow the
Bobcat trail up hill to Marincello trail. I then hit the horse stables then head back up hill using
Oak Hills trail then down on Miwok train. This will take you back to Bunker road and the Golden
Gate. You also have a lot trail options from here as well. Rodeo Valley train, etc.
