Mountain Biking Marin Trail
#9 of 22 mountain bike trails in Wales
The Marin Trail is one of the original mtb trails, built back in the day. It's a true classic and it's no surprise that it's so popular and held in such high regard by many local riders. Big climbs, big descents, brilliant singletrack and truly awesome scenery make this a trail to remember.
Most, but not all, of the climbs are on forest roads and tracks giving you time to take in the views of the mountains of Snowdonia, and all of the descents are on the sweetest singletrack.
The singletack varies from very tight, technical and rocky to wonderfully open and flowing, from dark forest to exposed ridgelines. (from www.forestry.gov.uk/)

Turn west off the B5106 near Gwydyr Castle, Llanrwst, up a minor road into the forest and take the first forest road on your left signed Forestry Commission Wales "Mainc Llifio/Sawbench"
Great flowy fun trail with some elevation gains and drops. Mix of some looser slate and tacky dirt. We are from the west in the United States - so this was a nice intro to mountainbiking here in Wales. Completed it with my 11 and 8 year old sons who asked to do it again after we finished ????????
Thank |Great views, older trail with many new add-ons that make it fun
