#268 of 283 mountain bike trails in New Mexico
A nice long walking trail. At the beginning of the trail you will have to cross Canjilon Creek. The creek runs rapid during the runoff season of late April to the end of May. The trail ascends to the top of the canyon. Vegetation includes Pinon-Pine, sagebrush, cactus, and Juniper. At the top of the canyon you will find Ponderosa Pine and mixed conifer. source: fs.usda.gov
