Mountain Biking McDonald Hollow Trail System
#290 of 300 mountain bike trails in Virginia
The McDonald Hollow Trail system of Brush Mountain Park is described in detail here: https://newriverlandtrust.org/brushmountainpark/
This is a newly constructed trail system that has opened in a couple stages through 2021. The trails are well-drained and are broadly accessible, with Blunderbuss providing serious black diamond-level challenges. The Poverty Creek trail system can be accessed from the top end of Crosscut or Highway at the top of Brush Mountain.

From Blacksburg, head out Glade Road for 2.3 miles to the intersection with Meadowbrook Rd. Turn right onto Meadowbrook and the trailhead and parking lot are right there.
