Mountain Biking Medicine Bow Peak
#161 of 256 mountain bike trails in Wyoming
Really rocky, highly technical and most likely dangerous. Very challenging, physically and mentally.
This trail has three types of terrain. From the bottom going up, first it is nice, smooth and well worn, then a large rock field, then frequent embedded rocks in hard packed singletrack. I would estimate that the sections are about a third each of the trail. Expect rocks, lots of rocks. A spare tube and rear derailleur hanger would be good things to bring.
The view from the top is spectacular, well worth the punishment of the trail.
Min. Elevation - 10,484 ft. Max. Elevation - 12,003 ft. Elevation Gain/Loss - 2,122 ft.
