Mountain Biking Metzler Family Open Space

****   Add a review
#865 of 1,392 mountain bike trails in Colorado
#9,650 in the world

This is a small open space of 60 acres donated by the Metzer family. It is a beautiful resource in the city. It is mostly forested with ponderosa and scrub oak (Gamble Oak) dominating. Most of the trail is smooth singletrack with little technical, except for the Rancher's Ridge trail (0.5 mi), which has some very challenging rock features and some steep punchy climbs. There are a couple of sustained, relatively easy climbs. The trail is well-marked throughout.

This is a fun, little system but for the most part beginner in difficult. The only technical portion is Rancher's Ridge which has some challenging rock features and a few short punchy climbs.
