Mountain Biking Mid Michigan Community College
#10 of 322 mountain bike trails in Michigan
It's mostly all single track through a nice quite piece of property surrounding the college. This is located just into the hills created by glaciers back in the day, so it's hillier than the other trails to the south. I believe it is a rather new trail. There are some pretty good descending sections that you get let 'er roll pretty good. But, what goes down must come up! Nothing too steep that you need to get off and push though. Lots of nice scenery and lots of animals (squirrels, rabbits, deer, and the such).

This trail starts from the main parking lot of the college. MMCC is located on Clare Ave (which is parallel to US-127). Take the Mansiding Rd Exit on US-127, go east less than a mile, then north on Clare Ave for less than a mile and will see the college on the east side. Park at the north west corner (closest to Clare Ave that you drove down to get there). The trail head is about 150' north of that corner of the parking lot.

VERY nice trail. Some short climbs that will make you dig in. Very nice technical sections moving around trees.
Thank |Fun trail without and large features or hills. Some small jumps/rollovers. The trees get a bit close at points.
Thank |good beginner trail. Not very hard or hilly. Several sections are very tight.
Thank |Nice flowing trails but definitely need better signs in certain areas particularly where green and blue join and a bit over a mile on blue. Nothing too challenging with a few uphills and downhills. Dense woods!
Thank |Well marked and maintained. The blue trail is 10 miles long but add in the inner loops and there are closer to 20 miles of trails than the 10 miles
Thank |listed.
MMCC trails are professionally designed and built making for a real treat of a ride here in Central Michigan. With more offshoot loops being built since this trail was first added to singletracks, the total length of a ride when hitting all of the loops comes in at about 15 miles I do believe.
Thank |Awesome trail. Incredibly lush with wildlife, so watch out. The red loop kind of sucks on a regular hardtail, as it's brand new and still really bump, basically a "dirt garden" for 1.5 miles. Some areas are sandy, so be careful flying into turns!
Thank |Solid intermediate trail, well maintained, and marked. Your climbs are pretty well rewarded with decent descents.
Thank |Great track. Lots of twisty turns. Some steep drops and climbs. Nothing crazy all are doable. Can get tight between trees. Trails are all very well marked and there are off shoots that can add some miles to the main trail. They just added anothwr loop this year that needs to be rose on some more to get it broke in. Had tons of fun riding it.
Thank |Ride this trail for the first time today and really enjoyed it. The single track is well maintained and clearly marked for first time riders. Only had one obstacle but the flow was great! Winding and fast downhill sections and short climbs for the most part.
Great ride!
Thank |Nice flowing single track!
Thank |A fun and fast ride with nice flow, a few steep climbs and drop offs. The blue loop is a bit more than 10 miles, and you can add several more loops for a total 16 mile ride.
Thank |This is my go-to trail when I have time for the 45 min drive from home. Fast and flowy. No obstacles or bridges, but a few short stiff climbs. Very beautiful mature woods. Changing room. Hit the Beaverton Tavern for Mexican on the way home.
Thank |Rode this on our way up to the Michigander. Not bad at all. Trail is not very hilly but was in excellent shape and very scenic.
Thank |Nice system of singletrack and walking trails at Mid Michigan CC. The best Singletrack to ride is the outer 10.1 mile loop. First 2.5 mile or so part is tight and twisty and like any ridden Michigan trail and exposed roots and some rocks. Trail opens up after this like said before and there are a couple very short easy climbs. Speed increases during the last 7 miles and becomes less twisty. A few miniscule patches of sand. Well marked loops. Overall a fun and quality trail system.
Thank |Great trails, well marked, several loops and you can ride all or part.. Great job!
Thank |Great trail! Some rocky, rooty sections. Not too much sand. Rode Saturday, and we were the only people on it.
It was fun, and just the right difficulty for us....me, wife, 11yr old son.
Thank |Awesome trails totaling about 16 miles and growing. Trail was in great condition today; lots of hard work put in to get them this good already. Can't wait to ride it again!
Thank |Fast and flowy, like a Boyne Mt. without the hills, very awesome single trak.
Thank |The trail is relatively new and they have been adding races/rides here so form I am told its getting much better. I recently id the Sweat Shaker race and the trail was a blast. Some tight technical sections, fast rolling sections, no real climbs and flows nicely.
Thank |
