Mountain Biking Mighty Mule (05257)

****   Add a review
#101 of 283 mountain bike trails in New Mexico
#6,461 in the world

This is a sweet little singletrack. It flows more downhill going from south to north but is
just as much fun riding in the reverse direction. It is a straight shoot from one end to
the other with no turn offs or places to get lost.

Getting there
The trailheads can be found off of FS12 and FS13. The quickest way would be to park
at Cedro Peak and take Cedro Singletrack (05625) and take a right on Meadow Ridge
(05627) to where it turns into FS 12. The trailhead will be on your left, 870 ft past the
Lone Pine (05628) trailhead.

The section described here is a great Cedro area trail. It is fun and has great flow. Beyond this section you can cross over FS13 and continue on Mighty Mule even further to the north - though the next section is much more technical and rocky and gives a chance to join the Chamisoso Trl, which is also a tough technical ride along the ridge. Instead, I'd recommend riding the section described here, hang a right on FS13 and down to the Coyote Trl after you cross over FS12.

This track is well groomed and has a good flow to it. Great track to connect to in the middle of your ride through the Manzanita Mountain Trail System.
