Mountain Biking Milledge Loop
#99 of 403 mountain bike trails in Georgia
Some sweet singletrack, running through a couple of really cool areas! The
trail is worn enough to follow easily, but still feels very soft and loamy
under the tires!

In Athens.
Kind of a weird trail, mostly artificial terrain through drainage culverts and skree hills from construction of the loop. There's a jump as mentioned and lines where you climb straight up the huge hills. To make it a loop you have to hit some roads otherwise its an out and back.
Thank |Thanks! Gonna try this out as soon as it dries out around here.
Thank |One of my favorite trails in Athens, well maintained and a quick, enjoyable ride. Hills are huge!
Thank |Trail was a bit overgrown; the open section by the highway was like going through a car wash (with the morning dew). A couple of obstacles have been setup, but the trail is mostly good fun rolling singletrack in the forest. Nice overlook of the river towards the west end!* Review edited 8/24/2011
Thank |Rode it today, and all I can say is wow. Lots of big hills, so make sure you have good brakes and your bike is well tuned up before tackling this one. Looks like someone took the time to build a jump about 1/4 of the way into the trail too. Lots of places to have fun. If your in Athens you need to do this trail.
Thank |Rode this trail last weekend, and since the last time *people* were out doing trailwork, there have been a lot of branches down on the trail that need to be removed. The bridge was also moved slightly to a more solid location, but one end of the bridge needs to be seriously cleared before it can be rideable. Also, last time I was through it was still wet in the low areas. After the torrential rain on tuesday, i bet it's a mud hole right now.
Thank |This trail AKA "Macon Highway"
