Trail currently consists of 2 loops, one beginner and one intermediate.
The beginner loop (~1.5 miles) is fairly easy, and is a great for a warm up lap.
The Intermediate loop (~5 miles) has various beginner to intermediate obstacles, most (but not all) of them are optional. Also this loop has a good mix of tight corners and flowy corners.
The trails are at the back of a good sized county park that also includes picnic shelters, hiking and horse trails, and a dog park. Parking at the trailhead is plentiful. There is a picnic structure at the trailhead but it is often reserved by groups, especially on weekends. The trailhead has running water, full bathrooms, and a bike wash station. It even has a vending machine for spare tubes and other trail-side necessities. Night and winter biking are allowed as long as the park is open, but the trails are not groomed in the winter. As of 2021 no expert loop has been added.
Reallly great winter cross country when the trail is groomed. Rode 6:30pm 1/29 and it was as fast as dirt.
Thank |Fun and flowy. Plenty of technical sections, great for beginners and intermediate riders. Ridden this trail 50 times and still find a lot of joy in it.
Thank |Very fun and fast trails. Great condition. Definitely worth checking out!
Thank |Great trail!!!!
Thank |Great trail with some nice rock obstacles, a balance of flowing and tight turns, and a good combination of climbs and descents. There is a nice easy loop that lies into the longer intermediate trail.
Thank |The blue trail is very good. Dry and very hard (frozen) no snow. The green trail has some ice especially on the open areas , the uphill and down hills.
Thank |Decent riding for being in the middle of the city. They take decent care of it, but close it due to rain a lot (it does get pretty muddy). Nothing too gnarly, good xc ride.
Thank |Awesome place to ride!! A little bit of everything for everyone, all ages.
Thank |Well built. easy enough for everyone. the property is nice and the builders are developing it nicely. my only issue is that it is the newest trail system in the area and it doesn't seem to have much that stands out past any other trails. a few fun but short flow sections and rock gardens help it out but alot of just flat, zigzag through the woods.
Thank |A great local trail! Trail has multiple rock gardens with various difficulties, more than what I was expecting. Most tech sections have ride arround options. I rode shortly after a hard rainfall and most sections held good grip. This is for sure a great place to start biking to grow your skills and a good place for experienced riders to push for harder and more challenging lines.
Thank |This is a great trail. Especially for being so close to Milwaukee. Lots of flow, rock gardens you can choose to ride or go around. Just a really fun trail to ride. Two times around would be easy to accomplish in an 60-90 mins. When you are coming up to the trail head there is a right side trail and a left side trail. It is a loop. I choose the left hand side and I'm glad I did. The flow sections in the woods tend to be in the down hill direction when you go this way. Made for a really nice ride. The up hill sections tended to be on straighter sections and a bit more gradual. Ride it in either direction but I really enjoyed starting on the left.
Thank |Great use of terrain for what they have. Lots of twisty turns and a couple of newly added rock gardens, very technical. Not a whole lot of mileage here but you can do lap after lap and still be entertained. Flowy descent at the end of the loop is my favorite part.
Thank |I was traveling and hit this trail. I was surprised at how much fun this trail was...great switchbacks, fast downhills, and just a beautiful area. Parking lot has nice clean facilities...I think it was $2 to get in but totally worth it.
Thank |This is a great little trail system. It's not as technical as some of the other trails in the area but being so close to home more than makes up for it. There are some nice fast downhill sections, berms and rock gardens. Perfect for a quick couple of loops or evening ride. The trails are just as fun to ride in the snow as they are in the summer.
Thank |I was at this trail a few weeks ago and was not too impressed. There were not to many obstacles that made it difficult. It is a good ride for rookie bikers. There were people working on the trail when I went, so hopefully they will make it more challenging in the future!
Thank |It's a fun trail that is very windy so it's long for the room that it really has. The trail crosses itself, or maybe other trails in several places; it wasn't a big deal when I was there, since I think there was only one other rider out, but if it gets crowded, it could be weird.
There are a couple sections where the trees lining the trail were narrower than my bars, and I'm counting that as a little technical.
Thank |I love this trail. Surprisingly good for being so close to the city. You can really tell the Metro Milwaukee Bike Club has really maintained and built this trail up. Some nice little jumps and a really nice bermed section with a lot of pumps built in there. Now there is close to 15 miles of trail but a lot of the the different loops overlapped for large sections. very twisty, and very good to practice your turning skills, especially on the tight uphill switchbacks
Thank |This is a newbie point of view review. This is a tough trail for beginners like me. The easy course is pretty easy but the other 2 are hard. If you're not in shape you will struggle to finish this course. It took me an hour to finish it as I just got back into bike after 20 years.
There are some climbs that are not difficult but get tiresome after a while. There are plenty of downhills section and you have to be aware of what's up next or you'll slow down too much and be force to peddle. The way the trail is set up you should be able to flow through most the sections.
Be aware that this trail runs into other trails for walking, and horseback riding so be ware of them as you cross over. It's a fun trail that will keep you in shape and challenge you.
Thank |This MTB trail is a honey hole! One of the best single track trails I've ridden in a big city
Thank |Pretty fun and close to Milwaukee. You can definitely tell they tried cramming in as many trails as possible for the amount of land they had though which causes a lot of slow winding stretches.
Thank |
