Mountain Biking Mobbs Valley
#40 of 141 mountain bike trails in Vermont
Head through the farm field to the trees on the far side(about .4 miles) The trail is fairly well marked with yellow arrows from here on. There are several options away from the main trail, but the marked 3 mile loop is the best, least muddy riding. The builders of the trail describe it as a single-track roller coaster, and I think that's an excellent description.

Take I-89 to Exit 11 - Richmond Exit Head West on Rte 2. At the stoplight, turn right on to Route 117. Immediate right on to Governor Peck Road, go 2.3 miles to stop sign. Left at Stop on Brown's Trace Rd. then make aleft onto Fitzsimonds Road. Go 0.9 miles to the parking area on your right. There is only room for 5 or 6 cars. Please don't park on the road. There is more parking at the triangle intersection with Barber Farm road.
Be sure to drive slowly here to keep the neighbors happy.
Found this to be a frustrating ride. Trail not really cut for bikers. Much of the trail pretty easy (riding through a field) or very tough (steep long climbs that weren’t designed for bikes). Never got a sense of flow here
Thank |Great trail, could use a little trimming in places but other than that it's a good ride.
Thank |Both sides of Fitzsimonds road are incredible...Mobbs Hill is great for a challenge, the ledges are long and really fun. Plenty of smooth riding on the east side of the road as well. I'd give it five stars but its a little on the rooty-bumpy side in places. Incredible swimming holes and enough variety for everyone.
Thank |Very fun singletrack. Little vertical gained, but there are tons of little up and downs to keep things interesting.
This trail, combined with the nearby Mobbs Hill and Arcana trails combines to make an excellent 2 hour ride.
