This trail is a lot of fun. Definitely not a good idea for beginners as the first part is mostly up hill. I was so tired at the end that I really couldn't enjoy the down hill because I underestimated it. Lots of fun if you can handle it.

Great trial for the newer single track rider. I found it to be a bit easy. However, my wife, who is new to MTB loved it. It's around 7 miles, so the distance could be a challenge for the absolute beginner. Rolling hills, minimal roots/rocks/sand.

This trail is AWESOME!! Rode it today and then turned around and rode it again!! Ended up being 12 miles but it was fun as hell. I could have done it a third time! Fun trail, awesome speed and some great drops and hills. The scenery and foliage was just spectacular too. Lovely lovely trail. Just go ride it. :)

This trail is my least favorite in Lake Norman. It is inferior to all of the other loops in the Itusi network, and it is not very technically difficult. I'd rate it beginner, though you can generate enough speed in some sections to make it more interesting.

Trail is fast and smooth these days. Make sure you are riding clockwise for 2016, be nice to the hikers and let it rip!

Good flowing trail. Lower intermediate to high beginner style trail. Does have some wrenching climbs but you are rewarded with some awesome downhill bombs.

Excellent single track. I was hesitant on how to rate this trail on difficulty because it switches direction each year. If you ride the trail clockwise it's a flowly downhill dream for the most part with a few moderate climbs. Well groomed, minimal rocks and you can definately pick up speed laying off the brakes and staying off your saddle.
Riding counter clockwise (this years current direction) you're climbing those downhill so it's more technical. There are some great flow sections too and if I were in better shape there'd probably be more. Great job to the trail blazers for making such a clean technical awesome trail btw!
