Mountain Biking Monte Rio Redwoods Trail

  Add a review
#926 of 1,004 mountain bike trails in California
#28,629 in the world

A 3 mile mountain bike trail loop with steep banked turns and perfect double track starts from Mote Rio Redwoods Regional Park on Bohemian Highway just South of the" Welcome to Monte Rio"  sign.  There are Trail Maps with 3 entrances to this mountain bike trail system, made by the Redwoods Trail Alliance. The trail system is perfectly made, compact with steeply banked mountain bike turns from the Trailhead up to the first trail junction, and further, on existing fire roads, to a perfect mountain bike trail through second growth redwood forest with huge Redwood trees, Douglas fir, Tan oak and California Bay trees.  This is a newly preserved park with plentiful bird and wildflower species.   This has the best constructed trails in the region.
