Trail #1174. This is a popular motorized trail, it is also known as Muddy Slide.
The trail begins adjacent to private land and proceeds southwest, passing through sagebrush-covered meadows, for the first 0.5 mile. Continuing in a southwesterly direction, it climbs a small hill covered with lodgepole pine and then descends to Muddy Creek at mile 1.1.
Turning east, it gradually ascends to an elevation of 8600 feet. The trail drops to Clear Creek, and then follows Clear Creek's drainages back up the east slope of Green Ridge. Several switchbacks are required to make the climb. The trail finally breaks onto the ridge top at an elevation of 10,258 and approaches Muddy Slide from the north. Muddy Slide is a geologic landslide. This stop point offers spectacular views of the Morrison Creek Valley and the Sarvis Creek Wilderness.
The remainder of the trail passes through lodgepole pine following the east slope of Green Ridge to Lynx Pass, with scenic vistas along the way. No facilities provided. source: fs.usda.gov
