Trailhead is about 15 yards west of Mount Defiance road gates.
Definitely made for ATV's although I never saw one. All climbing in the beginning. Tough terrain on a hardtail, I would imagine a FS would fare better. At "top" when you see a building on the left, ride out onto road to catch a great view of Fort Ticonderoga and Lake Champlain. View justifies hard work, but I wouldn't ride it again
