The Mount Hutt Bike Park trails cluster around the access road up to the ski field. That makes them kind of messy to ride unless you are lucky enough to have a friendly non-riding driver to shuttle you.
Here is a quick run down on some of the main trails...
SWAMPY DONKEY XC LOOP - an easy trail 4.5km loop at the base of the bike park. You ride half way round to get to some trails that go higher.
TREEVERSE UPHILL - excellent grade 3 uphill singletrack, 2.5km long. It takes you to the start of several downhill and down-slope XC trails.
BACK DOOR - an excellent 2.5km down sloping track through plantation pine forest. Finishes at the lower car park.
MEADOW MAKER - flowing 1.3km grade 6 downhill track. Finishes at the lower car park.
WRIGHTYS - a two way one kilometre track going up from the lower car park to a four wheel drive track called Skid Row from which you can access a number of tracks.
THE FLUFFA - a short 0.4km intermediate trail to take back down if you get tired as you climb up Wrightys!
DIGGLER - a grade 5 steep 0.7km downhill track.
SCOTTS SADDLE EXPRESS - a 2.4km down sloping intermediate trail that starts high up the ski field access road and ends at the top car park.
It's a visitor friendly bike park with good signs showing grade, trail name and whether it is one way or two way. There is no toilet or drinking water available.
