If you come up towards Armstrong, BC, from Vernon and Kelowna on Highway 97, the easiest way to access the Mount Rose-Swanson Trail is to take the exit for Highway 97 when the road turns to Highway 97A. Then, follow Highway 97 until Salmon River Road appears to the right and take the turn. Next, turn right onto the Heywood Armstrong Road, which will eventually turn back into Salmon River Road. On this road, look out for when you reach farmland again, and once you do, Hallam Road will jut straight off of the road during a 90 degree turn. Follow Hallam Road to its end, and a parking lot will eventually appear to the left.
