Drive from Blacksburg to Mountain Lake, go past the hotel to furthest end of lake toward the UVA Biological Station, look for trail head parking on right. There is a kiosk there with a map you can take a good picture of to see trail network. Start here at the trail head parking lot near the old horsebarn at Mountain Lake Resort.
