Mountain Biking Mountain to Meadow
#61 of 265 mountain bike trails in Montana
Mountain to Meadow is one of the best intermediate trails on the planet. It's 5 miles long and descends over 1500 feet. It is a well designed, purpose-built, machine made down-sloping mountain bike trail. You'll encounter flowing bermed corners, rollers, little jumps, switchbacks, great scenery and nothing very threatening. It's a masterpiece and loads of fun!
The best way to take care of the shuttle logistics is to park your car near the bus stop on Ousel Falls Road down in Big Sky town. That's the end of the trail. Then take the bus to the start of the trail in Big Sky Resort. The bus is frequent, free and it takes bikes. Timetable at the visitor centers. Easy!

Mountain to Meadow starts in the Big Sky Resort and leads down to Big Sky town...
To find the start of the trail follow the road under the Ramcharger chair lift. In less than a mile you come to a switchback. Don't go round it, there is a trail called Upper South Fork straight ahead that sidles round the mountain side and takes you to the start of Mountain to Meadow.
