The Munda Biddi Trail (which means path through the forest in the Noongar Aboriginal language) is a world-class nature-based off-road cycling experience. Combine Western Australia's vast areas of unspoiled forests and bushland, gentle terrain, and year-round cycling weather, and you have the ideal setting for an off-road cycle trail.
The Munda Biddi is a trail with something for everyone. There are sections of trail that will suit anyone's cycling ability and pace. The trail is easily accessible by car, so you can begin your journey wherever it is convenient. For longer trips, you cab camp in shelters or stay in quaint country towns. Different sections of the trail will be suitable for cyclists of all levels, with challenging loops and spurs to be added once the main trail is completed. And because the trail is predominantly off-road, you can enjoy the scenery while you safely cycle through the forest on the dirt track.
The entire Munda Biddi Trail is now open between Mundaring and Albany (approx 1000km).

The initial section from Northcliffe (headed South) which I rode is predominantly fire roads, with no single track.
Quiet country side, but it would be nice to have some single track through the Karri forest.
As always, the signage seems fine - until you get it wrong.
Thank |I rode this as part of the Waterous Loop.
Thank |This is definitely not a flat trail, but is not usually technical at all.
The camp Bidjar Ngoulin camp site is amazing! Great facilities.
For me, there was a few too many gravel roads (rather than single track), but still a good day out.
For a touring route, this is a challenging trail!
My estimates:
20% fire road (including some steep climbs)
80% single track
The early bits near Mundaring are mild, but from Mundaring Weir on you are in rolling forests, and the trail does have some elevation changes!
