Mountain Biking Nairamdal Trails
#49 of 70 mountain bike trails in Mongolia
Most of the trails lay in the forest, but some extend out of the forest at the bottom of the large slopes and valleys. There is more than 35 sq mi (near 100 sq km) of land here, and a good 60 km of trail. There are trails everywhere.
Most of the trails are old two tracks (not double wide), many which are rapidly reducing to singletrack. There is a lot of organic trail, but also hardpack and rocky areas. The descents are fast and fun. Most downhills descend one to four miles and 600 to 1500 feet. So there is a lot of speed and fun to be found here. The forests and scenery are exceptional -- classic Mongolia.

The trails are mostly set in the forested region surrounding Nairamdal. It is bounded on the east side by Baruun Salaa road, on the north side by Guntruu Road, and on the west side by the large valley containing the railroad tracks. Best access is from the community of Nairamdal and from the camp itself. There is also good access from Baruun Salaa Road along multiple points and from Guntruu Road.
