These trail networks crisscross the Odenwald for many, many kilometers. Mostly they're pretty well travelled, but can quickly turn into a barely defined game-trail. The hill-climb rules supreme here.
Also nearby is a LBS/Kona dealer, from which a group of MTB'ers depart on trail-rides every Sat. at 1400.

Getting there
Head to Heidelberg, then hop on the 37 towards Erlingen. Follow the Neckar river until the signs point you towards Neckarsteinach. Park in town, and from there you can head up towards one of the four castles & trail networks near them, or cross the river and head up the mountainsides from there.

    I ride these trails weekly. I love the endless options in the trails in this network. I can loop, climb, crawl, and bushwhack for hours. Good training area, and lots of exploring.
