#55 of 265 mountain bike trails in Montana
The trail starts with a prairie ride and brings you above Ryan Dam. After some quick downhills and a few brutal climbs, you'll hit another road. The trail continues a few hundred feet up the road on the left ( it's signed.) This section of the trail is rockier and with better flow. You'll eventually come to yet another road, the trail is straight across from it and then you'll cross the road one more time. This part of the trail is slightly uphill, then you'll head back down to the road again. This is the end trail. You can turn around and head back, or hang a right on the road and meet up with Mystical Rock Falls and take that all the way to the Rainbow Dam trail head.

Head Norhteast from Great Falls on Havre Highway 87. A couple miles from town, there will be a right turn that is signed for Ryan and Morony Dams. When you get to the right turn (about 7 miles) to Ryan Dam (signed). Take this right and head down the hill. The parking lot will be on your left. Park there, then head across the street. The trail starts at the gate.
Made two attempts at this. The first one was on a 92F (33C) day. There is absolutely NO shade so choose wisely when you will ride. The second attempt was a cloudy, breezy 70F (21C) day. It was so much fun! Especially love the harder technical sections along the river. Took a ton of photos thus the time for the ride.
