Mountain Biking Newton Blackmour State Trail
#344 of 387 mountain bike trails in Wisconsin
If you don't want any technical elements but are up for an epic roll through the forest and farmland of Central Wisconsin, it's hard to beat the Newton Blackmour State Trail. You can either do it as a single day ride, or you can take advantage of the towns along the way to expand the adventure into multiple days. Whatever you choose, you realize this is a rail trail that perfectly strikes a balance between pastoral views and little towns.
P.S. Parking is hard to find for the trail. Try a lot for a public building.

From Oshkosh, take Highway 45 north out of town. After merging onto Highway 10, don't forget to follow 45 to the north when it splits off again. Next, get off 45 right after you pass New London to hop on Wisconsin Highway 54. A right onto the highway will be followed by another quick right onto House Road. The trail should start right on the left.
