A serene forest scene featuring a winding path covered in autumn leaves, surrounded by trees in various shades of yellow, orange, and red. A white bicycle is parked near the path, with a tranquil body of water visible in the background. North Road Nature Preserve mountain bike trail.

Beginning of the trail was completely overgrown and there was a broken mirror in the middle of the trail at the beginning. I just decided not to go any further.

Small system, right in town. The individual trails aren't that long, but you can change up the route & direction to get in 6-8 miles easy. Red Trail, the central loop, is def a beginner trail - mild hills, only a few places of rock armoring, and minimal roots. It isn't a flowy trail, but has lots of twists & turns. Yellow Trail is a stacked loop off of Red Trail, and goes through mature woods down by the creek, across a boardwalk, and back through a brushy area. It has a few more challenges than Red. Blue Trail is an out'n'back off of Red (being converted to a stacked loop in 2017). It also is a little more challenging than Red. Plans call for some easy trail features to be installed in 2017.
