Mountain Biking Turtle River State Park
#4 of 35 mountain bike trails in North Dakota
There are approximately 2.5 miles of trails currently available to mountain bikers...many more to hikers. The trail network is mostly singletrack traveling through hilly wooded areas. There is only one steep climb. While short its the only singletrack in the area and is a great trail through the woods. The two miles tend to flow quick with only switchbacks truly limiting the speed. Deer and birds are all over the place and the trail stays close to the river and brooks. The trails are scenic but are not challenging. $3 daily vehicle entrance fee. $10 overnight camping fee. This trail was mentioned in Mountain Bike Action's "America's Greatest Trails" article which appeared in the August, 1995 issue!

TRSP is a GREAT place to ride for all types of riders. There are a lot more trails then marked if you know where to go, especially technical. Bring your bug spray in the Summer though!
Thank |Worth the trip!
'????'????'????
Thank |Rode this today and made a 10 mile loop in a little over an hour on what appear to be new wooded trail sections. Well designed and flowy. Definitely beginner trail but lots of fun at speed. Good day would be a loop, lunch, then a loop in reverse only faster! Watch the "handlebarks" thru the trees. Gotta pay $7 for day use but there's a campground with brand new shower building. Worth a look.
Thank |Fun little trail has nice flow, not very long though.
Thank |Very fun, very short. Fast and scenic path through the woods. The other trails can add some length but the spotlight is the single track. Going up and down the riverbanks gives some elevation in an otherwise flat place. The rating of 4 is due to that while its small its well done and its essentially the only single track within a few hours drive.
