Mountain Biking Old Monarch Pass Road
#668 of 1,392 mountain bike trails in Colorado
Old Monarch Pass Road is a 2 wheel drive dirt road that runs from just on the eastern side of the Continental Divide up and over and all the way down the western side. This classic route over the divide is now a popular gravel mountain bike right.
Old Monarch Pass is a popular snow route during the winter, and thanks to the moderate grade and the heavy traffic from a variety of users, it's a great spot to fat bike! Just ride the road, or connect into the ski resort if you're so inclined.

Monarch Pass
During the summer this is a simple, albeit scenic, dirt road that goes over the old Monarch pass route. But during the winter, this road gets packed in by snowmobile, ski, and snowshoe traffic, making for a gorgeous, excellent fat bike ride! Bonus: check out the nearby ski resort after hours.
